hung under the wings and a big radar dome under the nose for the tracker radar think od a sea venom pod undere the nose in place of the visual bomb site, see vulcan hammer book by chriss gibson page 171

The radar in the pod was the search/track AI radar, moved there because the huge target illuminator needed by Sea Dart occupied the nose.

Vulcan F.1 proposal (1970s) had 10 x Sea Dart or 12 x Phoenix.

I think you'll find that was a variant of the Sea Slug missile, rather than the Sea Dart, foisted on the RAF by their Lordships in the name of "commonality"

I can confirm the Sea Dart/Phoenix version, it's mentioned in Chris Gibson's Vulcan's Hammer.  The Sea Slug version sounds interesting, do you have any further info?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

No it was definitely Sea Dart. Sea Dart had a polyrod radar seeker (due to it's nose intake) which was relatively insensitive compared to a conventional dish. This meant that Sea Dart needed a much more powerful target illuminating radar, which was impossible in the confines of a normal fighter nose, hence why it was dropped as a potential weapon for the P.1154(RN). With 8 feet to play with in the nose of a Vulcan however, it became at least theoretically feasible. Designing a full new 8' diameter radar for a small number of aircraft would have been an expensive non-starter, hence the plan to put an adapted naval illuminator in the nose and an off-the-shelf search/track radar in the pod.

While the Sea Dart version's 'Britishness' appeals to me, I have to conclude that using the almost off-the-shelf AWG-9+AIM-54 combo was a hell of a lot more practical. The real problem with the latter would have been the same as with an RAF Tomcat purchase, namely the training cost of every crew having to fire at least one live $1m Phoenix per year to maintain qualification on the system.

Box art for the first release of the new Beaufort.

While it's a good picture I can't help feeling it could give a better view of the aircraft.
Surely one of the roles of the box art is to give prospective buyers an idea of what the finished model will look like.  I don't think this does that.

Or someone in the Art Department was lurking on deviantArt/ArtStation and found this as *really cool* CG photo and decided to "steal" it.

It works if you already know what a Beaufort looks like, but it's hardly likely to attract anyone who doesn't. :(

And while that altitude may be OK for Coastal Command the pilot would have been slung out of the FAA!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
