I've got a few 1/48 kits of my absolute favorite aircraft. One favorite is the F-86 Sabre, and I see Airfix has released their 1/48 F.4 variant. I just ordered one ----  ;D

I'm not a 1/48 builder myself, but I'm tempted by the forthcoming Chipmunk.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

New tool Mosquito can't be far off as it's advertised on the back of the Airfix Magazine which dropped through the letterbox today.

I honestly doubt that we'll see it this year, given the grip on reality that Airfix have always with regard to release dates (Vulcan is a good six months overdue) and also with how Covid is ripping through India. I'd like to be wrong - I have a dozen on order with Uncle Frank and that's just to start with - but if it arrives before Xmas I'll be very surprised.

I also suspect that the Vulcans are stuck in one of the containers on that ship that got stuck in the Suez canal. The Japanese owner is refusing to cough the 200 million dollar fine the Egyptians have levied and has said that those who own the contents of the containers should pay.

The CAD for the starter Vc is online and it looks pretty decent. An ideal clothes horse, with the standard kit as the standout in any lineup.

If I was the Egyptian government, I'd remove the crew from the ship, take it as compensation for the fine &, as an act of good faith to the customers, deliver the goods aboard.

I'm merely going off what was on the BBC.  No surprise they got it wrong.

Evergreen (Taiwanese company)  lease the vessel from Shoei Kisen Kaisha (Japanese company).   It's all getting rather complicated.

Sounds like they BBC got it right though,  from what Rheged mentioned.

From Wiki:
QuoteShoei Kisen Kaisha,[23] a subsidiary of Japan's Imabari Shipbuilding, owns the ship. The operator is the Taiwan-based company Evergreen Marine and the vessel is managed by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.

I guess considering how much money involved, other claims through the supply chain and a plethora of insurers, lawyers and courts involved, I'll likely have completed my stash by the time it's resolved...

The owner is not liable, nor is the managing company, the operating firm, Evergreen, is on the hook.
