Brymon Airlines would make a lot of sense for a 'dyne scheme, on the Heathrow-Gatwick Shuttle and other internal UK flights.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Rotodynes would suit the Brymon Penzance-Scilly Isles run,  Loganair to any or all of the Scottish Islands, Aurigny to the Channel Isles  or even an RAF 'dyne shuttling between MU sites.

I  think we need a new issue of the Rotodyne model.  Perhaps Airfix could oblige?      I did one several years ago as an RAN COD aircraft, overall deep blue with white fuselage top which is how we used to paint such aircraft in the mid-1960s.  It had a telescoping rotor mast and a beavertail...   :thumbsup:

That pic looks like the 1970s era 'Ark' to me.

And they never did that one before, did they?

It was a 1940's Ark they did previously. Mind though that they did a 60's Victorious although having had a look at the artwork of the ships that Airfix have done I can't match the picture to anything, that's not to say that I an right.

I trawled the net looking at pics of the R09 Ark, trying to link the Airfic pic to one, but failed.

The ship had so many refits and re-builds that it could have been taken at any time. It's not the very last configuration as there's no strop catcher on the end of the cat.
