The Hase kit was reboxed as Revell of Germany a few years ago as well.

Miniwings also do a CP-121 and an S-2E but in 1/144th, and £26 a go!

Hobbycraft did do an A  in 1/72 but its not available.

I have built the hobbycraft one, and it is none too bad,except for the one I built had a bit of a problem with its canopy, but it was easy enough to fix.

So, you'd know all about the Nowra fire then, I take it, Old Wombat?

Like the red livery on that Canadian S-2.

Is there an S-2 kit available in 1/72?  Is there more specifically an S-2G kit?

I know about it but not ALL about it; the fire was before my time.
All I know was that a disgruntled airman torched a hangar full of S-2E Trackers, there were some survivors & the lost birds were replaced by S-2G's.

The ancillary gear hanging off the back of the engine was a "female canine" to work on & required techies, such as myself, becoming human pretzels to reach anything - &, even then, you were, more often than not, trying to twist a torque-wrench with the tip of your pinkie. Generally, though, they were enjoyable to play with & were very reliable.

Anyway, I loved working on them.

PS: The hangar where I used to work on Trackers (& which also housed our last A-4 Skyhawks) is now the RAN FAA Museum, don't know what's happened to the old shed that housed the Museum in my day, when I got the opportunity to play with our Sea Fury, Firefly, Gannet, C-47 (with Sea Venom radome nose), Sea Venom, Vampire & Westland Scout. A Tracker (844?) & a Wessex arrived at the Museum shortly before I left the Navy in 1984.

Don't forget the Taiwanese Turbo S-2T Trackers with sharkmouths and a very cool camo scheme.  It's almost already a WHIF!

Those Taiwanese Trackers are the bomb. Don't the newer ones have 6-bladed props ?

A new 1/72 scale Tracker would be more than welcome, as would a 144th scale bird.

The Hasegawa Tracker is an S2F-1

The Hobbycraft kit is a mediocre copy of the Hasegawa kit. parts breakdown is identical, detail is less well defined in the Hobbycraft kit and fit isn't so good.

Revell Germany reissued the Hasegawa Tracker in the last 5 years or so. If you can't find the Hasegawa kit itself, try chasing down the RoG one, it will no doubt be a better rendition than the Hobbycraft one.
