Long-wing high-altitude PR bird?
we all know what a certain member of this forum would say to that. Eh Kit?

GO FOR IT!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Due to me being at NCJ Media for 15 years (murderers get less...), I get a day off and a voucher to the value of 50 notes to spend at a store of my choice.

lucky bugger. All I got for 20 years with my mob was a knackered knee joint.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Today, an impulse buy of an Airfix Battle. Now, do I do twin-engine, uprated Merlin, radial, or something else? FAA torpedo bomber instead of the woeful Albacore? RAF equivalent to the Stuka? Long-wing high-altitude PR bird?

A single-Sabre ground attack version could be nice.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

Various parcels arrived today, but the one with the Magna Seafangs had a bonus Novo Attacker.  Result!

Plus, during a hunt in the loft at my parents for the missing Attacker fuselage half, I located a few bits I need (DB Griffon with Aeroclub 4 blade prop, amongst others) and then found an MPM Spitfire PRXIX that I'd forgotten about.  Which is nice.

The way things are going at the moment, I'll be lucky to last another 15 weeks.  The place has a definite Titanic air about it and Ismay (aka the MD) is sailing away in his lifeboat.

I like that idea - North African tank-basher? Your Falcon is superb - I won't even contemplate doing something similar.

Just won on ebay:

Novo Bristol 138 - already have one but want to do that as the real thing at some stage.  Lovely kit, despite it's age.

Sword Spitfire PR1D/PRIV - just the one.  For now...

Geoff

Picked up a Cyber Hobbies 1/200th Vulcan B2, looks good in the box - not quite sure what to do with it though. It will either be an anti-flash white 617 sqd plane (real world), or I might Wif it, IIRC the RAAF were offered a squadrons worth but with lots of strings attached?

Also got a Merlin TTI which I suspect may be Finnish or Latvian.

Radish

Just ordered ten Airfix 1/48th Spitfire VBs.....the  Seafire boxing with zillions of spare parts and nice decals.
Think: Italian, Greek, Yugoslavia, French, Soviet, SAAF, RAF, RAAF......
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

Nowt wrong with that.  I'm buying Spitfires in bulk too.

Today in the post, a couple of sets from 3D-kits: One of the Spit Mk.II conversion sets, and one of the Hurricane IID sets. S-Guns! Both very nice, and good value.

From Heritage Aviation, the Vulcan undercarriage set that was supposed to be in the box delivered a few days back. Great service from them.

From Evilbay, a Bandai 1:100 Galabagos mecha, from the early 80s series Xabungle.
