Captain Canada

Snagged a pair of Monogram 48th scale F-101 Voodoos in Traverse City's K-Mart yesterday...couldn't pass up the 12 dollar price. I'm thinking Air Div hunter-killer type wild weasels, maybe one in a single seat version.....

Is the kit any good? I know the Ia is supposed to be very nice, but I didn't hear anything about the IX.

You should be on Britmodeller!  Basic but accurate is the general consensus.

Cheers. Might pick one up then. :)

Today, another ebay win:

ESCI 1:72 Kamov Ka-34 Hokum gunship. Possibly for the Africa GB, or I may do a Black variant, with extra sensors and whatnot.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

The Wooksta!

From one of the guys on Britmodeller:

Monogram Aston Martin DB4

Meanwhile, the Haswegawa Jaguar XJS also arrived.

My small car collection grows!

Hasegawa 1/72 Lockheed S-3A Viking

No plans for it yet, as it looks like I'm going to be moving again soon.

From a car boot sale today:

Airfix 1:32 Ferrari 250LM (these old Ferraris are so much nicer than their ugly new ones! ) Probably get a Road Wars type conversion - ram bars, armour and spikes, and a couple of machine guns. ;D

A piece of 00 gauge railway track, for the wagon I bought on Friday to sit on. A diorama beckons....

NARSES2

From todays Northern show.

1/72 Unicraft Douglas DS-312A, I have a nice feeling about this.

Freightdog 1/72 Spitfire 150gal slipper tank. For a PR XIX project.

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire IX for conversion to a VIII HF with the aid of the Freightdog conversion

Is the kit any good? I know the Ia is supposed to be very nice, but I didn't hear anything about the IX.

As Lee says. Basic, especially internaly, but looks accurate and builds ok
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

1/72 Revell Dornier Do24 T-2

Finally back home from Huddersfield.

Only two kits added to the stash from the show.

AMT Boeing KC-135R
Kinetic F-16I Sufa. (more correctly an Isreali weapon set with free Viper.)

And waiting at home for me from down under.
One Uncle Les Resins CAC CA-23. Many thanks to GTX for acting as the middle man for that one.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

I was also restrained with my purchases:

From Narses2:
High Planes Sea Fury
Novo Supermarine attacker

From JayBee:
Airfix Supermarine PR.XIX*

General purchases were:
Heritage Vampire F3 wingtips
Combat Colours: De Havilland Mosquito Bomber & PR Variants

Lindberg Triumph GT6
This is a hardback coupe version of the Triumph Spitfire, a real prize of a find as I never knew anyone had kitted a Spitfire, let alone the GT version!  Seriously thinking about PRU Blue as a colour for this one.  Looks like it'll be a bugger to build though.

*Wouldn't be a show without me coming away with at least one Spitfire!
