Went to Huddie with a shopping list comprising just two items.... A RoG 1:32 Hawk and an 1:72 Esci/Italeri F-100. Came home with three superb old Microscale decal sheets from the aforementioned Kit Krazy and a Tamiya M21 (Halftrack mortar carrier). Hmmmm, not too sure how that happened

i'm the guilty part for the decals ian.  ;D but there were some gems there.

anyhow, from a trip to modelzone birmingham yesterday

monogram F-82
hasegawa F-16I

Picked up in a Hereford junk shop recently, from a box labelled   "Any item 50p "  A Matchbox Wellesley  unsullied, totally complete and pristine, except for one blade broken from the prop.    It could well end up in Raspberry Ripple unless anyone has a better idea.

In RAF desert camo, but wearing French roundels - Maybe the Free French flew Wellesley's for a very short time before they got Blenheims ??

Ian

Mrs R has spoken.  She likes  P R blue as a shade, and wonders if  a High Altitude ultra long range Wellesley might be found  flying out of Habbanya  round about Operation Exporter time.

Longer wings and a BIG supercharger  and  we've got ourselves  pretty high level pics of festivities in the Caucasus and possibly even the Ukraine.  R A F  roundels  with spurious Persian or Iraqui markings overlaid.    I'll build it one day but she's offered to paint it.....and is neater  than me at this sort of thing.

From Modelimex, who are quite possibly the fastest chaps around  - ordered on Wednesday, arrived on Friday. Most in-contry shops would be hard-pressed to be anywhere that fast, but considering this package came from the Czech Republic, that's pretty darn amazing.

R.V. Aircraft 1/72 MiG-23MF Flogger

At 26.50 EUR not exactly cheap, but it looks so very nice.  Finally a decent Flogger in the One True ScaleTM!
Some pics of the kit are available >>HERE<< and >>HERE<<.
Cheers,
Moritz

Your right that does look a pretty decent Mig-23, wonder if they are considering the BM duck billed 23 at a later date ?

It's already got enormously long wings, so I doubt it would need any more. I'd say have the big supercharger and a primitive pressure cabin: mostly opaque, with round "portholes". If you want to go further, feel free to nick an idea of mine (that I'll probably never get around to): put Wellington wings on a Wellesley for another 10 feet of span, plus three times the bhp...

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Got a couple of kits today:

Hobby Boss 1/35 Dana SPG
Hobby Boss 1/48 A-10 Thunderbolt II
Revell 1/48 A-10 Warthog

Although not exactly for the stash, I got two connectors for one of my airbrush guns. One M4 to 1/8'' adapter and a 1/8'' to mni quick release connector. Now I can finally connect my Herpa airbrush to my compressor via the same quick release connector that also connects my H&S Evolution to my compressor.
Cheers,
Moritz

The Wooksta!

The two Xtrakit spitfires I had to one side with Uncle Frank have now been collected, along with a Pegasus F.22 kit (the third and best boxed release) and a collection of resin bits that will make up into an F22.  I think.

Total Spitfire acquistions in Feb - 9
