Just won an ESCI 24th BMW M1 on ebay - was actually looking for the Airfix one and this popped up - I never knew they'd done one!

The Wooksta!

A mate has just dropped off a Matchbox Lightning T55 - he's having a major cull of his kit collection.

As an early birthday present, and late xmas present  I ordered a Marivox Saab 105 from model hobbies.
It arrived today, and I am well impressed with the contents of the kit. Several versions can be done, there are 2 decal sheets for the 4 different markings options, quite a bit of photo etch stuff to stick on it, and plenty of different weapons load outs. The painting chart is right up there with Trumpeter too and it also has an extensive stencilling chart too. I have liked this aircraft for a long time and only by chance saw that you an get a kit of it in 1/72nd scale     So I treated myself to one. The only downside about it that I can see so far is the amount of flash on some of the parts, but that to me is not a big problem.
Cheers,
Chris.

Picked up my ebay package today - it's a Bandai 1:35 "Vincent" mecha, from the "Code Geass" anime that was produced a couple of years ago. I'll be customising the hell out of it, with modified armour, different weapons, and a nifty colour scheme.

This is what it looks like normally: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN954504

Nice!

My other ebay mech arrived today from California. This is a Volks EVA-01 Test Type kit, from the very famous Neon Genesis Evangelion series. This is an original resin kit from 1995, and it cost me much less than it would have done new! I'm extremely chuffed with this, but I'm now in a bit of a bind - do I build it, or hang onto it for a few years and sell it on for vast profit?

The Wooksta!

Arrived this morning, another Matchbox Tempest, courtesy of one of the guys on Britmodeller in return for a load of Lancaster bits.

This will be reduced to spares, along with the one I got on monday, meaning I can do another two Sea Fury torpedo/strike fighters (one of which will get a torpedo drop tank and eight double tier rockets under the wings, possibly Korean War markings) and another pair of Eagle engined Tempest/Fury hybrids.

Last night while out with the missus for sushi...

1/700 Fujimi IJN Tama

Well I once found a hook in a trout I was served up but never a model ship  ;D Sushi restrauant sell kits or what ?

Heh, no, but it is right down the street from the used toy store.  Which coincidentally happens to have a few old model kits that have been "gently owned" but not started (generally).  So I suggested sushi, and got kudos for that, and just happened to have time to grab a kit as well.  AMAZING coincidence!  ;)
