Today's acquisition is a 1:72 resin kit of the VF-11 Thunderbolt from Macross Plus. My favourite "Valkyrie" (variable fighter), it doesn't get a lot of screen time but it's a gorgeous beast. Big too - Flanker-ish in size. Got it through a trade on Britmodeller. I believe the phrase is "well chuffed". ;D

Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Daryl J.

1/35 Steyr 1500's
1/35 Bronco Adler armored car
1/35 Citroen Traction Avant
1/35 Kubelwagen w/ desert tires.

Tempest tailplanes  and a dust filter for Hasegawa's Typhoon.

Frm MZ Trafford Park: Academy 1/35th Modern IDF Infantry Set. (£2!)

Generic enough to form the basis of some Patchwork World Cheshire Militia.

Set has four figures:

Prone, FN MAG, sleeves down, helmet
Walking, Galil, sleeves rolled, helmet
Crawling, Galil Para, sleeves down, helmet
On one knee, M14 sniper, sleeves rolled, bare head + sunglasses

Figures are broken down into individual limbs so fairly multi-poseable, and there are four spare heads plus (I think) excess webbing packs.

From ebay

A Lindberg kit, unsure of the scale, of an Aston Martin.  It's not one I know the name of but I do know it was a one off.  Looks like it's from UFO.  Pretty basic kit and was intended to be motorized.

Cost?  99p plus postage.

From the reading modelzone yesterday Zvezda PAK-FA - SCORE!!  Ironically I went in looking for the Canadair sabre but they didn't have any. I think they must be the only MZ that don't have any..

Sorry for the delay....

The Revell F-104G is the Monogram one. An excellent decal sheet from Syhart Decals but they'll mostly be unused. I'd prefer to paint Tiger stripes.

Anyway, last night on the way to the Stafford Club meeting, dropped into stafford's hobbycraft and picked up the Revell 1/24th ferrari F10 :drink:

Today, visited the ELC and picked up ducks, etc....

Enquiries and google searches have unearthed the information that the unidentified Aston Martin is the DP214, a race car of which two were made based on the DB4.  I also think the kit is 32nd scale.

Cor, Project 214? I had a few laps round Brands in that in 1968 or so, amazing day! I don't think my neck has ever recovered, Mike Salmon, who was driving, REALLY gave it some stick! I never knew there was a model of it in largish scale.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

1/700 Trumpeter USS Sacramento AOE1 - Yeap a USN replesiment ship which is something a little bit different

(Note this kit is modelled as per the original 60's fit, the Detroit kit due in a couple of months will have the later fit with the Sea Sparrow & Phalanx system instead of the 3" guns.)

Today's raid on Uncle Frank's emporium released the two Sword Spit Vcs into my custody, plus an Admiral Seafire Ib (which has IDENTICAL sprues to the AZ Ib, IIb, Vb and HFIV plus a nice piece of etch for teh arrestor hook).  In addition, a mate was wanting to get rid of a Hasegawa Spitfire HF.VIII so that's now mine too.

Total Spitfire acquisitions in march to date - 4.
