Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

To be done in retro USN markings?

Damn - you reading my mind again?  Must double the thickness of tinfoil!

To answer your question:  Yes.  I just need to work out which Grumman TBF Avenger scheme to use.

2 new additions:

1/144 Revell F/A-18E Super Hornet
1/144 Revell Alpha Jet
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

The Wooksta!

A PM Spitfire floatplane, strictly for the floats and the prop, plus the fairing for under the rudder.  The kit itself is a poor copy of the old Frog Va and it's useless for anything.

Plus I was given a set of sprues and flash with some Lancaster bits encased - the Novo repop of the Frog Lancaster, which wasn't that bad for it's day and came with the Tallboy bomb.

Spitfires acquired in July - 1  A poor start and that will have to change...

Weaver

From Warren Kerfoot models, who have 20% off Dragon 1/72nd armour at the moment, an AAVP7A1 RAM/RS (that's the upgraded LVTP7 with the fancy turret in old money).

NICE kit, complete with photo-etch engine grills and stowage, and still includes the old-style turret so I can nick the .50 cal + 40mm GL turret for something else...

Work In Progress ::

Lots of stuff

Mr.Creak

Just got back from Waddo (The Thunderbirds were phenomenally dull, by the way) with:

1/72 Italeri Su-24 (only £8.00 - no decals)
1/72 Airfix Mirage 2000 (£4.00)
1/700 Hobby Boss HMS Astute (comes with horizontal hull split, which means I can invert the lower hull and scratch a new conning tower to get a free sub of "another type").
What if... I had a brain?

McColm

Picked up a Revell 1/136 Martin P-6M Seamaster and five  (yes 5, such an odd number) 1/72 C-130J engines with propellers.

I'm not sure if Jays have rereleased the Ventura ones yet.

Both versions are listed as available/in stock in their website (http://www.jaysmodelkits.com/jaysmk/), and if my one experience of mail order from them is concerned then you should have however many you order pop through the letterbox within a week or so.
