Got myself the Revell 72nd scale Arkona SAR boat while down here in Traverse City....no idea what to do with it, tho !

Its a nice kit CC, but it really needs the inside doing something with as it is empty. I have one on the go and made some basic control surfaces and crew stations for it just to make it look a bit more realistic when looking through the numerous windows.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Hey Ed, I'd say all 4 are good candidates to become RCN examples !

Actually, I have a Belchers Bits decal sheet with Canadian S2F markings and was already thinking of doing it as RW.

Is the kit any good? I know the Ia is supposed to be very nice, but I didn't hear anything about the IX.

Today's acquisitions:

Italeri Reggiane Re.2000 GA
ICM Ural-4320 truck
Dapol C42 Refrigerator wagon

All 1:72 (ish!), all for the Africa GB.

You should be on Britmodeller!  Basic but accurate is the general consensus.

Hello all!  First post here!

My whole modeling existence is pretty what-if.  Even if the markings are fairly accurate, their places in my little plastic air force are fictional, as are all my pilots and the "history" they live in.

I've been a busy little monkey during this winter, but the latest was great.  Sent a guy a couple of modern 1/700 ships, and in return, got 17 1/144 kits!  They included:

2 DML F-16A
1 DML F-16C
DML F-16B vs. MiG-21ML
1 Revell F-16A
2 Academy Jaguars
MiG-23 Flipper (Probably willing to deal this one)
1 DML MiG-29
1 DML AH-64D
1 DML Mi-24 Hind
1 LS Harrier Gr.1  (It says Gr.3, but has no laser nose)
1 Crown F-4F
1 DML Su-22M4
1 DML Harrier Gr.5
1 DML F/A-18D

Now I need to start scoring some different decals for some of these.  Great to be here!
