Arrived in the post to-day from the big H,
the ICM 1/72 Soviet Air-to-Air armament set.
Very, VERY nice.

Is moulding okay? I ask becasue I've got the "little" ICM set and I was pretty unimpressed, to be honest.

They are completely new H, the little set you have is included with several Eastern Express and Condor Kits also, so has done the rounds. This new set really is 100% better.
Cheers

The Wooksta!

A visit to Uncle Frank yielded the new Xtradecal Spitfire F22 sheet (with some rather tiresome decals on - that sodding Edinburgh one for a start) and an Xtrakit Spitfire F22.

Total Spitfire acquisitions in March = 7.

Just back from Jamieson's in Glasgow where I exchanged some drinking tokens for:

Airfix 1/72 Canadair Sabre
Zvezda 1/144 IL-2
Zvezda 1/144 Lagg -3

The last two look realy nice little kits even though they are clip-together.

Monogram AC-47 with some ancillary fiddly bits to convert into an Air Charter aircraft, safari style.     Am thinking of making the tail empennage into a hybrid of the Super DC-3.

Three from Comet Miniatures yesterday:

An Admiral Supermarine Seafire Mk46; a PM Model Hawker Sea Fury T-61 (Bagdad Fury) and an MPM & CMK McDonnell FH-1 Phantom.

Comet's military shop is small, cramped with the sheer tonnage of kits, (ships, AFVs and of course aircraft). But it gives me a thrill to rummage through the stock and find a very unexpected treasure!

The Battle I can understand (it's a decent parts donor for a Bristol project) but the 109?

Just arrived via the man in the red van from the BIG H :

1/72 A-Model Sukhoi Su 3

1/72 AZ Supermarine Attacker F.1

1/72 Quickboost fistail exhausts for the Airfix Hurrican II. These are superb and having just used another set on the Airfix Spitfire PR XIX they really do add something to the finished model
