The Wooksta!

Yesterday say two Hobbyboss Spitfires added to the stash.  One is filed away the other is on the bench.

It's going to be an armament trials aircraft but really early, so Hasegawa 2 blade prop (The Hobbyboss one is cack)and flat canopy (ditto).  Oil cooler swiped from an Airfix mk Ia (so that'll end up as a Va) and Airfix u/c and wheels courtesy of the spares box.

It's good to see Airfix getting into Dept Stores. Alders in Croydon has a really good selection, but then they also have a Hornby franchise

Likewise for Whittakers in Bolton Chris, they also have a Hornby franchise, so maybe it is tied into that?

In all honesty, Whittakers are the best value for Airfix kits in Bolton at the moment, they are definitely significantly cheaper than Hobbycraft, and a lot better stocked than Bolton Model Market as far as Airfix kits go.

Duncan

Almost certainly Dunc. I've noticed that Alders prices on some kits can be slightly cheaper then MZ, but then sometimes MZ will drop a penny or two off theirs. They obviously never learnt how to round up and down from an Actuary

Never mind it's just great to have the option of where to buy and Airfix are great value compared to some anyway
