Wooks, I think we need a picture of your Spitfire stash.

Come now, even a wide angle lens would struggle to get them all in the shot...

We could alsways use a recce satelite couldn't we??

Wash your mouth out, should be a Photo Recon Spitfire used of course

Of course it should, my humble apologies... ;D ;D  Besdies I only suggested a satelitte because it's the that could get Lees spit stash in one picture...

See now Wooksta's probably working on building a PR Spitfire-shaped housing for a camera....

I know a man who will suggest getting a Meteor PR 19 out of retirement for this job...........

The Wooksta!

No, Wooksta's busy cleaning up a pair of Ventura Seafires.  Nice kits but by god there's a lot of cutting, sanding and test fitting.  The 17 is looking quite nice although I hate the wing assembly.  Sorely tempted to mould it.

Yesterday a Revell B-26B Invader - £7 off a bloke at work.
Tempted to hide in The Aviation Hobby Shop to escape Royal Wedding Fever.  Fun Detector glued to the box.  Have to admit it was hilarious seeing the minor royals go to the church in minibuses!!!

One Italieri 1:72 OH-58D Kiowa destined to be a parts donor for my VSTOL GB project.

My stash grew quite a bit this week. Some of the stuff was ordered weeks before, but it all arrived this week.

From Hobby Search:
Hasegawa 1/72 Su-33 Sea Flanker (all organs and limbs still firmly in place) - this is the Idolmaster version, but will be whiffed.

From Hobby Link Japan:
Six Hasegawa 1/72 Aircraft Weapons Sets (Set I twice, Sets II and IV once each and Set VIII twice)

From Amazon:
Eduard 1/48 Pfalz D.IIIa - supposed for the Africa GB, but don't know when I will be able to start.
Eduard 1/48 Fw 190 A-8/R2 - this is the weekend edition, but it's still one helluva kit at an awesome price!

From eBay:
Cyber Hobby 1/700 USS Long Beach CGN-9 - will be whiffed. Quite possibly with the superstructure of a Tico, as per Wyrmshadow's idea.

From LuckyModel:
Two Revell 1/144 Kamov Ka-50 Black Sharks - can't ever have enough of these.
Two Italeri P-51A Mustangs - will be whiffed.

From Hannants:
Mark 1 "dozen series" 1/144 Tornadoes
Two ICM 1/72 Soviet Air-to-Ground Missile Sets

From the LHS:
Zvezda 1/72 Mi-35M - lovely kit. Even includes the SA-7 twin launcher (only one, though) seen on the demo bird.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I have the IL-28 and the mig-21 of theirs, for the price you can't fault them, and they are ok to have sitting in the stash. I was going to turn the IL-28 into a 2 seater twin prop COIN aircraft in 1/72nd scale, and the mig into a big anti ship missile for underneath my TU-16 or TU-22.

You're welcome...

Newsflash, I've just checked in the Airfix Concorde's box, and there are actually two kits in the box! The Airfix Concorde, and what appears to be a 1/288 version of the Concorde, I have no idea as to the provenenace of said kit, but it is a nice little bonus.

I may just see if the wings could be used on something else...hmmm (thinks)

Duncan

Fit them to a Lightning, as a wing testbed instead of the Fairey Delta II/221?

According to the PAK-20 book, Heller did a Concorde in 1/296 which was re-boxed by Buzco, Starplast & Starfix, then Lindberg did one in 1/270 which was re-boxed by Necomisa, Playkits did one in 1/300 and an outfit called SRW did one in 1/230.  These are the only ones listed which are close to the scale you've figure it out to Duncan.  I should say there's a whole lot of other manufactures listed that just say 1/?

A pair of Airfix Lancasters have joined the stash tonight, rehomed at a reasonable discount from the Blenheim society treasurer.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
