Now I'm kind of name dropping here - day one of Canada holiday and force marched the missus to Maritime Hobbies in Halifax where I got a 2nd-hand Hasegawa Curtiss Seagull for Can$5 (because I could!) and a Leading Edge CF-18 sheet.

Two AZ Spitfire Va's from a well known auction site.  The price was half what they were normally so it would be crazy not to get a pair.  Plus, I didn't have that kit anyway, so it plugs a gap.

Total Spitfire acquisitions in June so far: 24

Today, from a trade on Britmodeller:

Dragon 1:35 King Tiger (Porsche turret) with zimmerit
Italeri 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 140/1 Aufklarungspanzer 38(t)

Both to be whiffed, of course - the Tiger will probably get modded to an advanced version (gas turbine engine, maybe, or a big diesel, modded turret, etc) for joint Allied ops against the Soviets in 1947, or possibly the Middle East somewhere. The Aufklarer 38(t) will probably be changed to a steampunk-ish anti-zombie vehicle. ;D

That's what I planned to do with the Tamiya 72nd ones, but the oil coolers were moulded integral with the wing.

TBH, I had planned on giving the AZ Va a miss, what with it being their Mk 1/11a kit but with different decals and the Airfix Ia being half the price.  However, I'm a completist and at half the price, it was worth nabbing.  So I got a pair.

*SIGH* Yet another Monogram M48A2 reissue added. Michael's (US craft retail chain) has a 50% off coupon this week and my local store had restocked since my last visit, so I couldn't pass it up.
Some clever and amusing quote goes here.

The Wooksta!

Picked up the 3 Brigade Spitfire T.IXs on order, plus an Airfix Spitfire IXc.

The T.9 is intended for the utterly vile Italeri kit (which frankly isn't fit for scavenging for spares) but after some minor surgery (sanding the wing roots) to the conversion and more major surgery to the donor wing (the aforementioned Airfix mkIXc), it's now taped up.  Intended scheme for this is either RAF, RAuxAF or Iraqi (they did express an interest).

Spitfire acquisitions this month - 25 (conversions don't count!)

From ebay, a 1/72nd Heller Fi103 Reichenberg IV. It's the one that came with a Natter, but the owner of this one had already built the Natter. Fine by me: it's the Doodlebug I wanted anyway....

Today at Modellbrno I snapped up a 1/72 Let 200 Morava from AZ Models.

I had no idea they were working on one at all. As I understand, Modellbrno was the premier of the kit.

Not having seen it, my money is on that awful copy of the original Hasegawa 190D - but I can't remember who was responsible for the attrocity.

Would you be interested in the Mac kits of the Reichenberg?  I know I've at least one somewhere and I know I won't be building it.
