Dig a tunnel, it's the only safe way......  ;D

I'll get me shovel...

Let me know how that tactic works out ;)

Trouble with that tactic is that you could be digging your own grave

chaps, you will glad to hear I am safe and well

Good to hear it - how did you manage it  ;D

Yes...some of us may need to use your infiltration techniques...

just my natural charm and a smile...  ;)

Lee, there could be a hidden gold mine you have there. Some airliner modellers are CRAZY about the ancient kits, well worth a look-see.

It's nowt major.  Airfix 707, some Veb Russian thing with the fuselage snapped in half, possibly an Airbus.  I'll have a look next time I'm up there and you can have whatever I find.

JUst won on ebay:
Frog DH Hornet in the late 60s Red box.
This one

Love the artwork on this one as it's so crisp.  First Hornet I got was in this box so it's got nostalgia attached to it.  One for the collection rather than the build stash.

How many have you bought recently ?????
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A lot......20 of these and a few XIIs, the odd XIV too.....lots of decal sheets, and I've plans for the Airfix 1/72nd IX. ;)
Have you seen Polish Wings:Spitfire IX 1942-43? Excellent.....with 3 colour "options" for the Polish decal choice in the box. ;D ;) ;) ;)

two airfix shorts stirling.

for conversion it has to be said to the wingspan it could have been if not limited to 99 feet.

btw, does anyone know what the wingspan should have been? i don't and need to know what it would have been.

Best off using a Sunderland wing - it's the same planform.  I can't see them designing a new wing when they had a large wing already in use.  It's a conversion I've had in mind for some years and have all the bits to do it.

From ebay, Airfix 1/24th scale Wallis WA 116 autogyro "Little Nellie" as used by 007...

Unusually cheap, so I don't know whether to keep it (Red Arrows colours?) or put it straight back on at "collector's price"....

Depends if it is the original, or repop - might be worth re-doing as a developed version with a 1970s RAF / Navy pilot...?
