Got a few kits from my local model club last night.

Airfix 1/144 Boeing 727

Was that the -100 or -200 variant?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

From ebay:

Frog Sea Venom and Attacker.  I am now replete with Attackers.  Could do with some Fouga Magister canopies though...

Pretty sure Kit that it is the 727-100 variant as the markings are for Lufthansa D-ABIH.
Done a bit of reasearch and the aircraft appears to be the 52nd 727 built and 1st to be delivered to Lufthansa.

That's a good find then, the -100 kit is pretty thin on the ground as Airfix 'converted' the moulds to the later -200 version. Nice one.

Definitely my last ebay win for a while:

Rareplanes Blackburn Firebrand TF5.

Had one of these some years back and it was a nice kit.  Thinking about making it into a two seater.

Just been told there's a CMR Spitfire Tr9 waiting for me at my LHS.  A mate who has contacts out in the Czech republic had one spare and is letting me have it at a very reasonable price. That'll be a real one when I do the Spitfire properly.

Hopefully, the spare canopy will fit the Brigade conversion I've got assembled as a Tr.8 (that's going RAuxAF), freeing up the Aeroclub set I have for the planned Tr.18 - I had a gash resin fuselage with a HUGE airbubble just in the right place so did some carving to get a new resin spine to fit.

Ordered from Hannants yesterday arrived this am

Azur PZL-24. This is the Greek AF boxing. Frromm are doing the Romanian

I was planing on doing this as a Bulgarian aircraft but then discovered that they had them, although they were not used in the war. So it will now probably end up as pre war Hungarian or possibly one of the Baltic States

Arrived this morning from Kingkit, 2 novo Gannets in 1/72nd scale, much cheapness as I only need the wings engines lasnding gear and props for 2 more turbo prop Skyraider builds. One will be the multi seat version as an electronic warfare platform or an airborne command and control unit. The single seater I have might just get made into turbo prop COIN bird. If I can get the skyraider wings and engines to fit the gannet fuselages, then they can become piston engined tankers used to spray coca crops, or be fire fighting birds.
Oh almost forgot, From Lucky model a Trumpeter J-20 which took less than a week to get here
Cheers,
Chris.

Nice find...

I like the Leahys better than the Belknaps: never convinced that a ship so big and important was worth risking on gunfire support, and you could give a Leahy a helo by adopting a Truxton-style back end. Now there's a project....

A big haul from Poland and Hong Kong:

1/35 T-26/BT-2 from RPM. I also got some replacement individual links, because the vinyl tracks are awful.
1/35 Defender 110 hardtop from Hobbyboss. Most of the kit is the same as the WMIK
1/35 RF-8/GAZ-98 Aerosled, from Vision. Two sleds plus figures (vs. just one sled from Trumpeter)
1/144  F-7II (Mig-21F-ish) from Trumpeter. Pretty nice for the $2 I paid for it.
1/700 Ting Yuen Chinese cruiser, by S-model. This is a beautiful little waterline kit, complete with brass barrels and PE.

Radish

EIGHT more 1/48th Spitfire VB/C/Seafire IIIs, some more decals.

Cheap from fleabay:

Airfix 1/76th Chieftain
Science Treasury 1/72nd M4A1 Half Track (mortar carrier)

The Half Track is a bit of a curate's egg: flash-ridden and tatty-looking, but there might actually be a decent model in there somewhere. There's some decent interior detail for a start. What doesn't help is that one side of the instruction sheet is printed with the blurb, sprue diagram and a useless 4-view of the standard troop carrier (without the mortar) and the other side has the assembly instructions for a totally different German half-track! The "English" on the instruction sheet deserves a post in it's own right..... ;D
