From Ebay, an Airfix 1/72nd Banshee with "missing rockets and decals"; yeah, and missing half a wing, half a recce nose, a cockpit tub, a pilot and half the bombs too...... :banghead:

Just won ffrom that well known on-line auction site, a Pro-Modeller boxing of the Revellogram 1:48 Ta-154. Thinking Eastern Front, schlacht markings and temporary winter camo over 70/71/65... Mmmmm.

Quote from: Rheged on October 18, 2011, 09:18:24 AMAn Airfix Strikemaster for £1.99, box a bit bent but pristine inside.  It may end up as a Jet Provost light attack aircraft of one of the RAFVR squadrons that was reformed after an unexpected bout of "sensible" from a UK politician .

A superb little kit, built mine as a FAC trainer a few years back. Lots of sink-holes but nothing that a liberal dose of filler cannot put right. Would look very cool in overall airframe silver, with that huge black anti-dazzle panel and outrageously colourful Auxilliary Air Force/county markings - which you get from the Modeldecal Meteor sheet... Hang-on  :o, am I supposed to be talking you or me into this

The  "outrageously colourful Auxilliary Air Force/county markings"  are what  I was hoping to achieve, but you have described them so remarkably well!

The beautiful but corpulent Re.2002 in all its Italeri ugliness.  That and a Trumpeter SM.79.

The thing I like about kits with ''errors'' is that they already start the journey into Whiffdom, straight from the factory.

Zvezda La-5FN, ICM LaGG-3, Eduard I-16 Type 24, all for office decorations.
