All this talk of Angel Interceptors - Alders in Croydon who have a Hornby franchise in store still have no Airfix new tool P-40's let alone Zeros, but loads of Angel Interceptors  :banghead:

I can understand the Zero because they have lots of the "starter sets" with the old Zero in them, but the P-40 ???

Narses: It's not called a P-40 on the box, but a "Hawk 81-A-2". Perhaps that's confused them?

Today's addition, a few bottles of Vallejo paint, plus a PM F-100C Super Sabre in 1:72. For £4, it's actually quite nice looking on the sprues. I was expecting a hideous rough moulding (like their Nesher/Dagger/Mirage kit), but it's nice and sharp for the most part. We shall see how well it fits together, though. I'll be making a "Super-Dog" all-weather interceptor version, with a radar nose and two seats, armed with Falcons (or maybe Genies :wacko: ) as an alternative to the F-102/6. Either ADC or JASDF markings (apparently the Japanese were interested in a radar-equipped variant of the F-100 at one point).
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Made a trade with Mike Grant (of Mike Grant Decals), he was looking for some CF-5 'coke-bottle' wingtip tanks which I had and sent to him (he lives in Calgary).  In return he gave me a decal sheet which he produces for a CF-121F, (RCAF Mig 21) Sheet # MG 72-121, very nice and I've just the model for it.

Mike is one of the best. He used to post his What If projects here, but I haven't seen him around for ages. Have to admit I wasn't aware he'd done a What If sheet... Any chance of a scan pic ??

Best I can do Ian;

here's his website, but this decal sheet might be discontinued as it doesn't show here.  Could also be a one-off too.

I just had a chat with Mike and he told me the sheet is a custom sheet for someone, he did a couple of extra sheets for friends and himself.  He had asked what I wanted in exchanged for the CF-5 tanks and I said anything 1/72 and Canadian if he had something. So this is what he gave me and was a complete surprise when I got them.

They sell stuff like that separately? Cool!  :thumbsup: Saw some of their stuff online and I really liked what I saw. Their Apaches, RAM launchers and Goalkeepers look really nice. Would be cool to have as replacements for older, injected plastic parts.

You do realise we are going to get the Animal Rights Mob outside Telford if they read this  :banghead: ;D

I've fond memories of the Pe-2, but it's a fairly old kit if I remember correctly ?

Would the Pe-2 make a good basis for the Gloster Reaper?  They look similar and dimensionally I don't think they're too far out (I did compare plans a while ago).  Certainly some surgery needed- not least the engines.  Any thoughts?
