The Vautour IIN's armament was impressive, at least in theory: 4 x 30mm DEFAs, 116 x 68mm rockets and 4 x R.510 AAMs. That could ruin your day......

Am I the only modeller in Britain who doesn't give a fig about the Vatour?

I had 92 at my last count, but Lee has a few of them now.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The simple answer is that I don't  know.  I know I came back from Telford with about thirty.  An ebay win saw me grab a stash of 39, there's 30 or so sitting in me Mam's loft.  I've won a fair few on ebay recently, so that's taken over a hundred and that's before I start going through the boxes to count them.  Probably another two hundred.

I am actually building them though.  Some are long term stash for when I start building real ones but now I've got all the marks covered for The Plan, I can just start having fun with ideas.

Slip of the tongue or this a "Navy Lark" build ?  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

From Modelzone, in their sale:
3 x Cyberhobby/Dragon Meteor F.1s - £13 down from £28?  I wasn't turning them down.  I had planned to get just the two but they had three left and there was another tenner burning a hole in me pocket, so I snaffled all three.

Apparently the ailerons are wrong for the F1 and the wings will need some sanding - you can see where the airbrakes have been filled in!  Looks a nice kit but I'm still convinced that the nacelles are oversized.  Did some test fitting of major components and unlike many of the Dragon horrors I've built in the past (the Ta 152C still gives me nightmares) it looks like it will actually fit together reasonably well.  The wing/fuselage fit is very positive. Not sure if I like the separate control surfaces though.  Seems a bit toylike and possibly a retrograde step.

Still want a trio of Revell Meteor F.IVs but that can wit till the new year.  I have a multitude of the old Frog/Novo kit well into double figures (at last count it was about 16 but I've a fair few whif ideas to use them up, not to mention real markings).
