Despite my encouraging visitors to my thread to do so, it seems no-one has suggested any of my photo manipulations for this year's whiffies. I would hate to have to suggest my own material once again... So should I just give up on the 2011 Whiffies altogether?

Also, though I am extremely grateful that the Whiffy for "Best imager" was bestowed upon me for two years in a row, I do wonder if it really has much meaning considering there isn't much competition in that particular niche?

Thanks to you all for your thoughts.

I think the main reason for this, well in my case anyway, is that I only tend to look at the plastic stuff. Completely unfair I know, just a fact and not personal to you or the others. After reviewing some of the work in that section, I`ll make more of an effort to visit.

By the way, my pick of your recent stuff is the Wyndham. Lovely looking aircraft.

I`m not sure I can use butt ugly and cool in the same description, but they are the first words that come to mind when looking at Spinners BAe/Mitsubishi Stratos FG.3.......

Thanks to those who picked a couple of items in my gallery for this year's Whiffies!

May I suggest a handful of images for your consideration? These might seem like a lot but they're only a sample of this year's production: 14 out of 101 distinct types in either photo-manipulation or profile form. Hope that those of you who don't normally visit the Profiles and CGI section will enjoy these!

Remember all, the cut off for builds is tonight but nominations will continue through either Jan 15 or 31st (haven't decided yet).

Would still like to see more autos, dioramas, figures, helicopters and biplanes.

May be condensing some of these based on what has been nominated.

Happy New Year all.

I do like the Do 335 - not sure what the camo represents but it is very nice

I don't know if this would be eligible as the project was started in 2010 and carried through to completion in 2011; however, I'd like to put my "Austria Divided" alternate history piece up for consideration in the Alternat History category:

http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,29535.0.html

Unfortunately, a lot of the profiles done up by Apophenia have since been lost when the site had to get rid of a lot of images.

Normally, I'd leave it to others to nominate it if they would see fit; however, it was a lot of work and I would appreciate if it could be considered if it is eligible.

OK, nominations will remain open until Jan 15th.

Looks like the Academy Awards are set for Feb. 26th so that would be the night of The Whiffies.

I will try and get the 1st round nomination polls up as soon after the 15th as I can.
