The Pegasus Mercury 9 is a great kit (mainly for the many possible rearrangements of the parts) but at almost $60, that price is ridiculous. Those of you in the UK may be able to get it for less buy buying it from Starship Modeler (in the US). They're out of stock right now, but I'm sure they'll restock it soon:

There's no way that shipping and import duties will add another $36 to the $24 price.

Pegasus is here in Los Angeles; maybe I'll drive to the store, buy a case and send it back to you guys with Prince William and Kate; I'm sure they won't mind.

Green Dragon

I'd buy loads of them if we got the US price, may try an import and hope customs don't intercept it!

You could always paint one yellow and tell Wills that he's got more chance of getting one of these than of getting a new helicopter out of the government..... ;D

Spotted a couple of new ones from Pegasus Hobbies after Green Deagon posted about the iHobbyExpo in the Airfix thead:
http://www.cybermodeler.com/special/ihe11.shtml

The Kothoga from The Relic.  Is it me or does it more than resemble He-Man's Battle Cat in those colours???

And is that a scale Mr Hooper???  Not sure if it's a liscensed Jaws model or a generic BFO shark set in similar manner to the Nautilus kit.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Green Dragon

I've been trying to think what Kothoga reminded me off since first seeing the movie! Battle Cat seems spot on Simon!
Read somewhere on line that the Jaws license fee was ENOURMOUS! But you don't need one for a Great White Shark kit!

Another resemblance I saw on the cybermodeler article is that War-of-the-worlds-Alien, from the modern film, not the tri-colored eyes one from the George Pal film, but the  new one. That Alien looks almost identical to those in the film Independance Day.

A few more have been announced from Pegasus Hobbies in their 2013 catalogue:
http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/images/2011catalog.pdf

1/32 Triceratops
1/32 T-Rex
1/8 Tarzan
1/35 Terminator 2 Aerial Hunter Killer
1/35 Terminator 2 Tank Hunter Killer

Looking around the web, the 1/18 great white shark and 1/144 Nautilus should be available this year.  The Nautilus looks fantastic and the shark comes with 2 heads.  Another one that sneaked in was the Vermithrax dragon from Dragonslayer.  Very pleased to see the Terminator kits.

The Wooksta!

If you do a bit of cut and shut, then some rearranging, you can get a Miles 52 from a V-2.

As a kid I called the native stomping ground of the Triceratops and T-Rex "home".   Indeed, one of the very best T-Rex skeletons was excavated just a few minutes west of home.

Those two kits may need picked up.

Green Dragon

The T-Rex and Triceratops are supposedly moulded in Vinyl, two more were announced at iHobby last week a Spinosaurus and Liopleurodon.
Also they have some more 50/60's rocketry coming out. Luna from Destination Moon and the Cosmostrator from First Spaceship on Venus.
They had a Haunebu II on display which seems to be 1/144th scale. They had a little diorama of the saucer with a Ta154, Bf109, Kubelwagen and Hanomag. The aircraft look like the F-Toys pre painted models.

"Dragonslayer" is still a very good film, up there with the best of the genre. I probably watch it at least once a year, and at least the dragon doesn't sound like a Spanish Egyptian Scot ;D.

WHY! can't the bl**dy dinos be 1/48....I need 1/48 :banghead:.
