Cheap Revell kits in my local TK Maxx:

1:72 C-160 Transall - £12.99
1:72 Fw200 Condor C-5/C-8 - £9.99
1:32 Piper PA-18 - £7.99

If anyone wants one of these, I'm happy to pick up and post them on for you. Shipping might be a fair bit on the Transall (big box!), but the other two should be pretty reasonable.

TK-Maxx have cheap kits in for Christmas again. Pretty scrappy selelction and they're mixed up with all the other toys so you have to go searching for them (look in EVERY section) but there are bargains to be had. Worth looking in different branches as well because they seem to vary a lot.

Spotted today:

Airfix 1/48th Lynx HAS.8 : £17 (note: not in the current Airfix sale)
Airfix 1/72nd RNLI Lifeboat : £12 (ditto)
Revell 1/24th London Taxi : £12
Revell 1/24th Mercedes* : £12 (*sorry, can't remember the model)
Revell 1/24th Ferrari* : £12 (*ditto)

They, err we, keep it like a rummage sale to keep women looking for that elusive bargain. Someone will stumble on something wonderful today but that might be the only time one of those gets to that store.
Another gimmick is that THAT special thing will probably be cheaper tomorrow.

That may be the big shop, but it doesn't have all the same stuff as the actual shops, in fact it has less stuff today than yesterday!

Must admit, I sometimes go to Lakeland to see what kitchen/home gadget I need, then go the TK Maxx to see if they've got it cheaper: usually about a 60% strike rate... ;)

Haven't been to the Hull shop for a while, they had a spate of having quite a few kits, but I haven't seen any for a few years now. Might be worth a look.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
