Did you manage to fill the gaps between the top and bottom of the wing?

If not: Try putting glue between them, then clamping them together tightly. If that fails: find the thinnest plastic stock you can find, and insert that between the halves. This gives a nice solid edge that you can sand down.

Yes I did. Thanks.

A quick update..... Painstakingly masked the white using Tamiya masking tape... Spent quite a few hours spread out across several days...

Sprayed the blue-tinted Light Ghost Grey tonight. Decided to do the bottom part first. Hopefully, I'll spray another coat tomorrow.

Also sprayed the port side Sidewinder bay doors and the bottom part of the horiz stabs.

Thanks for looking!

Didn't get to do much today except for laying down a couple of thin layers of the tinted LGG on top fuselage and all stabilizers

Had a bit of an issue with my very first airbrush about a week ago. I ended up throwing it out, and started using my "backup" which has 0.2mm nozzle. I find the nozzle a bit too small for spraying large areas, so I put in a bid for another airbrush with slightly larger nozzle on eBay, won it, and now waiting for delivery. I think I might wait for that other one to arrive before continuing painting this plane. Let's see how long the delivery will take and whether or not I can wait... :P

My replacement (2nd) airbrush arrived today. AWESOME! Surprising how much difference 0.1mm makes... So... laid down another layer of tinted LGG on the Raptor tonight...

I'm gonna spray a thin coat of gloss clear right after this update, to protect the LGG layer....

OK. Masked off the borders between the tinted LGG and the dark blue-gray (or gray-blue?) patterns....I'd have to be real careful in spraying the dark blue-gray... I think I'll have a good night's sleep first, to make sure I have a steady hand....   ;)

I spent many many hours going through the cycle of mask-spray-mask-spray... Had quite a few paint seepage problems, as well as several technical "oopsies". Seems that every time I fix one of the problems, another one cropped up.   :banghead:

A couple of nights ago, I finally finished the main fuselage (I think). There are still a couple of places where the paint is not quite right, but I decided to leave 'em be since fixing 'em may actually result in something worse. I still have to spray another coat (or two) on the radome, as well as masking and spraying the elevators.

Here are a couple of pics of where things are at right now.

Thanks for looking!

Having done my fair-share of real world and what-if multi hued splinter patterns (Swedish Hawk anybody ?), I really identify with the struggle to get it right. You're doing a great job on this. Keep it coming.

Thank you all for the kind words!

I did manage to work a bit more on it last night, but haven't got the chance to take any pics. Will try to do that a bit later tonight (hopefully)...
