OK.... masked and sprayed the elevators yesterday... Also took off the mask on the canopy tonight. Boy! I was so glad to see that there was no paint seepage at all there! Phew!

I've also masked and sprayed the white pattern on the vert stab tonight. I'd still need to spray at least another coat of white, then mask+spray the dark gray pattern. Hopefully I can finish the vert stabs tomorrow, and can upload the pics....

Thanks for looking!

since this is nearing completion...

I'd like to impart some additional inspiration if ever you get your hands on a PAK-FA model ;)

Oops! Finished!!!

I decided to use decals from several different sets. I used a little 2-part decals (squadron logo, I think) from TwoBobs Blue Fox Bandits just above the Sidewinder bay. I used the 1st FW designation decals from the Revell set.
The "109" was from the Italeri MiG-29A kit.

Along the way, I destroyed several fairly important decals from the Italeri set (blooming hate those Italeri decals!!! :banghead: ), including the roundels! Luckily I found some spare ones in roughly similar size and shade. Also destroyed the "Rescue" decal, good thing I still have the one from the Revell set. I also lost one of the pitot tube. Oh well....

Here are some pics before I installed the last remaining pitot tube. I will take more pics during the day and post them in the next few days.

Thanks for following and looking!

Supertom

Nice work there mchoo.  Did you have much trouble closing up the bay doors?

Thank you. The main missile bay doors were OK. Just needed to "thin" out the narrow outermost part. The Sidewinder bay doors were a little bit more tricky, since the zig zag patterns don't quite line up properly.
