Why do I keep thinking that a cross between an Avon-Sabre and an F-86D or F-86K would look most interesting?

Radish

The Yugoslavs converted some of their F-86Ds to photo recon aircraft. Cool.
This F-86D looks superb. I prefer a RCAF Sabre in camo though.
One has DEFINITELY got to be done!
The "new" Italeri 1/48th F-86E/F has markings for RCAF, along with a number of other options. It's from ESCI, a dream to build and looks good with recessed lines, etc.. While not as good as the Academy offering, it's at least £4 cheaper.
Got to get a couple for a "line-up" as the RCAF and RAF markings in it will prove useful.
Also, why not a Navy F-86D?

I think I  know a great paint scheme fae that... :)

QuoteAlso, why not a Navy F-86D?
Would that be a "simple" FJ-2NE, a re-engined one (with larger intake) as a FJ-3NE, or a totally redone one, which was considered, as a FJ-4NE?

QuoteI'm doing a T-Tail Hunter F1 if anyone's interested...  AND there's a all thru Sea Hawk project - the P.1068 -  with a T Tail, think Sea Hawk with a Hunter style tailpipe.
T-Tails, you say?

I'M interested!

Making me misty-eyed already.  When can we see pics?

Ha, I thought so!  Nice T-Tail!  There was another one, just hidden by something else and I couldn't quite make it out...what is this?  Oh, damn fine-looking ships, btw!

Oooohh!!!

Is that a delta Lightning I see off to the right?

And what's that bird behind it?

Ya know, sometimes I wish I lived in...uh, nevermind.    Maybe Australia, tho...  B)

Great lineup guys

Although......I don't know how it looked in real life, but that camo netting isn't the best backdrop in that photo - a bit dark and kinda the thing I'm not allowed to say the eyes.  Or maybe it was just the notoriously poor lighting at these events  :D
