New machine design from user Cutangus.

Just need to find the right Drop Tank

I would wonder if an F-84 fuselage wasn't a good start point,

You could start with the front end off a Wyvern

Yes! thats even better, since you have your props in hand then.

Here is a painting done by a Deviant Art member named Waldemar Kazak. His DA userid is Waldemar-Kazak if you would like to view his gallery. He has some unique works and among them, some concept aircraft, ships and mechanicals. Lots of comic items, a good influence of Steampunk and some really classic illustration and paint styles.

I extended an invite to join us here but he is very busy and cannot right now. Here is a sample of his works, this titled "Crazy Russian Pilots"

Heres a nice new BWB transport design in 3D from a designer on D/A.

Yup a flying wing that I didn't have my greasy little fingers involved in !

Yeah, it's so unusual that we ALMOST ended up believing you were the internet's sole provider of flying wing designs!! LOL

venom800tt's gallery is truly awesome and I encourage anyone who hasn't seen his work to pay him a visit.

#51
bagera3005's drawing of Rockwell's Saber Bat
(or Saberbat, Sabre Bat, Sabrebat)

I don't think calling it X-31 is correct, though, and some of the shapes and proportions don't quite match the few photos I've seen.

A mock up existed:

Edit:
Oh, there was a thread on the Sabre-Bat, with some photos and a drawing:

Yes indeed. Note the vector thrust nozzles too. Makes me wonder if the Pres. can shake up the press reporters traveling with him by phoning the cockpit and requesting a few tail-slides and cobra maneuvers? ;D

It does seem to have an awful lot of flying surfaces. What are the 'wings' in the middle supposed to do?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards

There to Look terrific!  ;)

I doubt if they have variable sweep. The smaller canards by the entry door are the ride control dampers.

Could they be a way to break up sonic booms? I have only read a little bit about next generation SST noise control.

Interesting ship and an interesting back story.  I suspect an invitation would be in order, unless its yours?
