Not necessarily a whiff, more like a "never was", but one for Tophe.

Bizarrely, because it ticks none of my usual aesthetics boxes, that Hanriot H.110 looks quite good

... Possibly because it looks so plausible?

Not sure if I'm missing the point ?, but it did fly

Someone, probably Unicraft, does a kit of it

That's why I added the caveat at the top of the post:

I thought that was what you meant Scoot, but I wasn't sure about Old Wombat's comment

To be honest, I missed the "not a whif" part but my comment still stands, it still looks plausible as, if not a first-tier fighter, at least a second-tier scout/observer. ;)

Even without the national markings it screams FRENCH.

The Nausicaa Gunship reminds me (vaguely) of this plane. Just add twin booms and a tail and it's a ground attack/bomber version.

It looks like a 1920/30's Colonial Policing aircraft to me. Keeping all those Tuareg rebels down with mg's and light bombs. Did the Foreign Legion have an Air Branch ?  ;)

Yep, that'd work, too!

Fascinating design but I would hate to be the guy running the control cables to the rudder and elevator!
