One for the "tread heads" in the crowd.

I discovered this guy's page a few days ago and have been feeling very inspired by it. The artist is Patrick Benjamin, aka Tetchist, and he has built a series of kitbashed AFVs to use as reference models for a comic series. I like how everything has a kind of patchwork, pieced together look.



Our own Gen Zod was having a bit of trouble figuring out this particular vehicle, so using a bit of "kit archeology" and some help from the reference photos at Hobby Search, here's what I came up with. The basic hull and running gear are a Tamiya Japanese Type 97 "Chi Ha", the turret is from one of the Tamiya Churchill releases, the side armor is from a very hacked up Revell Pzh. 2000 SP gun and the main gun is a Tamiya 25 pounder.
