Thought I might contribute this to the forum. This is the B-52I. Based on the AMT B-52H. Obviously it's not finished yet but, I thought it might be of interest. I have yet to concoct a "cover " story so, please bear with me!! ;D

The other model is of course a Tupolev TU-22.  The camouflage scheme is, as far as I'm aware, fictitious so, that is my excuse for counting it as a "what if". I thought it would look nice ;D[/img]
There are larger pictures on the site Home page for anyone who might be interested

'Old Dog' on steroids it seems albeback!  Welcome aboard and an intriguing project.

Always like the Blinder too, even if it was a bit shonky in real life.

Very cool, very cool indeed.

One little note, B-52J would be more likely as the US doesn't use the letter "I" in designations, it is too easy to confuse
with the numeral "1".

Maybe it's an export version for Israel  ;D

Thanks Maverick. I have now built 2 examples of this beautiful machine. I have 2 more. My next one will be a long range interceptor. I have (hopefully) attached photos of my other one!

Thanks for the info on the designation. B-52J it is!

The nose is part of a 1/32 scale 370 gallon wing tank from the Revell F4C kit. The biggest problem was getting a circular section nose on to a triangular section fuselage!!

Thanks for the compliment Jim. It's ready to recieve its first coat of paint now, I'd hoped to start this weekend but, I was faced with an agonising choice - paint the model or spend a weekend with my other 'alf!!
Guess it can wait another week!!. No worries! I'll post pictures of the completed item!

Looking forward to the interceptor Blinder, altho it will actually get an "F" type name and a 'odd' number designator being a fighter I'd assume.  Always thought the idea would be rather neat to do as the bomb-bay would hold a bucket load.
