Bit more fiddly painting to do, then on with the canopy and decals. Oh, and some sort of back story.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I've always been amused by the blurb on the box - "One of Britain's best ground attack fighters" After all I've read about it I'm convinced that if it actually had been employed that way it might have made a damned good one!  ;D

Was the Swift ever considered as a ground attack fighter?

AFAIK its main use was as a tactical PR aircraft, as the FR5, and it was very good at that too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I never realised the Swift was quite so, well, "rotund" might be the best word to use to describe it.  ;)

Dead right, difficult to believe that a Swift took the world air speed record from the svelte Hunter back in 1953, but it did.
