G'day Gang,

Not 100% if some of this has been posted previously, but here's a link to some kits from the 2011 Nuremberg show.  Of particular interest are the 72nd A400M and 35th Wiesel 2 LeFlaSys, Boxer APC, ASU-85 and various AVGP incarnations.

From what I can gather from those pics, he doesn't include any mountings.  I'm not sure if the lump of resin is a mounting or a casting block.  AFAIK, the V3 was mounted differently at each site, so you could go from photo's or just do your own thing.

Could be either.  The shell is a marvellous piece of isn't it?

Don't you need a 1/35 scale model of a large chunk of France to display that properly? And even then all you'd see would be the muzzle....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I think the protoypes were mounted in the open so you could go that route.  You'd need about 4m/13ft to display a full length V3 in 1/35!

There's some great V Weapon models on this site, including a much(!) more handleable V3 in 1/72:

I read 'The Occupation' by Guy Walters a few years back.  It postulated about V3's mounted in Guernsey lobbing dirty shells at London, not a bad read.

You could do a cutaway in profile showing the length of one of the drifts it was to be mounted in from muzzle to breach.   It'd make an interesting (and as already noted, very long) diorama.

That A400M is definitely worth a drool! If those ignorant f****** politicians of ours have there way it looks like any RAF version could definitely be a "what if" :banghead: The C-17 would just be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE in 1/72 scale. A decent 1/72 Victor B1 / B2 / K2 ouldn't go amiss either but, I realise I am now in fantasy world!!
