There was a version with the M163 Vulcan AAA system that could ruin your day. There was also one with the standard small MG turret fitted with a 7.62mm minigun.

Weaver and Mossie, have you seen these?

Eduard made a couple expensive 72nd scale versions which I passed on because of the price (V-100 and V706).

Did find these though.

Interesting.

Also noted the same site is selling these:

Anybody else notice their similarity to certain public domain display bases?

... A-and moving right along. Here we come to the next set of images of the Ethiopian LAV's!

Just some "in progress" shots; the wheels, jerry cans & MG's are fitted just for the photo-shoot.

For those who don't know, the shorter barrelled gun is the 90mm Mecar gun variant & the longer barrelled gun (with the muzzle brake) is the 90mm Cockerill gun version.

Certainly looking snappy.  I've got one of the Mercar versions in storage (he says hoping it wasn't lost to the floods) that was eventually going to get an ARA treatment.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

They do look 'right', all battered & scabby.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The camo looks great! The worn paint job looks very good.

I have a couple of the Cockerill variants; I'm building one with a Bradley style turret and a 20mm Bushmaster. The interior is basic, so I don't blame you for not detailing it.

Thank you, folks!

Some small progress made but not enough to bother with pic's just yet.

I'll post some more when I've done the weathering, etc.

Cheers!

OK, things seem to be coming together, here!

After an extremely long delay, I have some more progress shots!

The decals are my first effort at printing my own & were something of a failure learning experience.
I would like to thank ChernayaAkula & Maverick for the flag & roundel, respectively - unfortunately my printing abilities weren't up to their artwork standards.

The LAV-150's are done but there are the crew to finish (they're almost there) & the dio-base to build, yet.

Pictures, of course, speak louder than words on these forums; so, here you are.........
