ASR Base Signage Query

Hey Guys, with my Plans for the Dio, i was Just Wondering if it would look Normal or out of place to have a Sign near the Base with the letters ASR on for an Air Sea Rescue Station? I'm not planning to have a full name just ASR to let people know it's Function.  What Say You? Thanks for looking.Dan

I dont know about other nations, but here in UK'shire we use "Search and Rescue" - So at RAF Valley, they have the signage:

SAR Flight

Red lettering on a white background. The sign itself is bordered in red, the standard UK roadsign for defence or military property/installations.

Ian, that does Help. i'm Thinking of making a Sign & using some Lettering Stencils to say 'ASR" i'm going to use some Wooden Sticks for signage. Think it would be OK to use Red/White Stripes bordering  the Sign with ASR in Yellow on a Gray or Black Background? I'm going GA with my Station. Dan

They have a big sign right across the hanger at  Sola which says "Rescue Service  330 Squadron" in Norwegian.
