Something different.  I prefer the tactical scheme myself, but the new scheme is smart enough.  I guess it's just a tacit acknowledgement of the fact that the aircraft are, after all, trainers.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it's the RAAF Hawk 227s which are the light fighters/close support/fast FAC birds...oops, did I say that?

Lol, they'd be snapped up quite quickly.  Although the PC-9A isn't that shabby a performer.

But seriously, have the RAAF ever used the 127s as anything but trainers & I include LIFT in that statement.

Could almost form the basis of an advertising campaign for a popular range of paints.

I assume they don't use brushes to paint the real thing?

Only if the job was contracted to the Scottish Museum of flight.
You only have took at their Lightning, the paint is that thick it looks like the poor thing is wearing a coat of Zimmerit paste.

That hawk scheme looks quite good to me thou
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

You know, I've often wondered who gets to work out Cam schemes for aircraft and who approves them.   I know of what was his name?  Ferris, who was an artist but is there a special qualification or something you can get which allows you to do this for a profession?

It's vile

Wouldn't go that far Tel, but I must admit there is something about it that nags at me

Have seen it in person now (armed with Sidewinders, Iron Bombs and 30mm cannon) - will try to post photo once I get home.
