How do you tell when a planeload of JMNs has landed at the airport?
The whining keeps going after the engines have stopped.

I'm a bit worried that the carpet monster's getting out of control. I dropped a fuselage half on it the other day and it ate that. I dropped the body of a car on it, and that disappeared. And I saw the cat on my bench this morning, but I haven't seen him since!

Well, we have something for that problem.

Please welcome our last Guest Presenter, Taiidantomcat.

Alternate markings are often where most of us started whiffing. Sometimes nations just don't pick what would obviously look oh so cool. Luckily whiffers are out to change that, one model or profile at a time. Sometimes lost in the insanity of kitbashes, and scratch builds, alternate markings are still highly effective at making JMNs spit venom-- and who doesn't love that? Often a simple change is enough to make a common something into something unforgettable... you can't look away, and will never get that image out of your head... why do you click when you know its just going to be Radish all made up again? Oh wait!! Back to models! This category is for the Best Alternate Markings, Radish wins every time in 1:1 scale so only his F-8 Crusader is included in this category.

The Nominees for Best Alternate Markings are:

   •   Ian the Hunter Gatherer Northrop Scorpion FAW.2
   •   Mossie's TA-7C Corsair II - Operation Granby
   •   Ian the Hunter Gatherer RoKAF Rafale K
   •   Falcon's Vought V-1601 (naval F-16)
   •   Radish Israeli F-8E Crusader

And the Winner is:

Ian the Hunter Gatherer's Northrop Scorpion FAW.2

You know you spend too much time thinking about planes when the biggest laugh you get out of an episode of Hogan's Heroes is when they warm up the engines on a B-29, take off in a Lancaster, maneuver in a FW Condor, drop bombs from a Liberator, and parachute out of a TV studio set.

And now, the final award for the evening, The Whiffie of the Year.

Are you still out there?  Sounds quite.  Maybe this will get their attention back.
