I scanned the most recent Whirlybird catalogue today on request, and I thought I'd post it up here for reference, as they don't have a website. Hopefully someone will find it useful, as they do lots of neat accessories, conversions and full kits. :)

Good thinking, thanks for that.

A pity some of them weren't so darned expensive, I'd love to do an S-61N, but at that price? No thanks...........

When you look at the part count, you can see where the cost comes in --  there's so much there I wonder how much of the donor kit gets used  :-\

Exactly! They provide a completely new fuselage, tail, rotor and landing gear. What else is there left to provide? It's hardly a conversion, it's almost a complete kit. And for that price it ought to be too!  :-\

Didn't realise they did so many unbuilt projects, CL-1200, P.1121, XFV-12A.

Always fancied the Miles Student & a Sycamore, but the Student is a bit out of my price range & I've yet to sum-up the courage to tackle a vacform.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Only the ones with a V are Vacform the rest are resin and quite tasty at that

Yeah, I've seen the Student in the box & it looks lovely.  Only a few parts for the main construction, it's very cleverly engineered.

Seconded - I've got one, courtesy of Roger-the-Cabin-Boy.

I have their Seagull V (I think that's what it's called, a sort of Ultra-Walrus....) and that's 100% vacform, and an ex-Maintrack mould I think. It wasn't all that expensive and it's also the only game in town if you want to build one of course.

I have the P.1121, which AFAIK is the old Maintrack vacform, but comes with extra resin bits (cockpit tub, intake, etc).

I was looking through the catalogue that I have (courtesy my friend Steve Gardner and from Telford last year) and I see they do two types of passenger seats for the S-61N, there's what's called MCA seats and then there's airliner seats- 6 quid a set.  Wonder if they would work for the Rotordyne ----

I've their Seagull that I picked up when it was a new release at Telford in 2009 ? Looks very nice and I will pluck up the courage to build it as my first vacform one day. My South China Seas Fleet needs it

That's one of the problems with not having a local club, there's nobody to hold your hand and offer advice when you tackle these things for the first time.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
