EU aircaft Roundels Query

hey guys, a Question just popped into my Head:are there Any kind of Roundels or other Markings for plane that belong to EU(European Union) Air Forces? just something i was Curious about & also thining about seeing if there are Any EU markings available as Decal sheets. Thanks for looking. Dan

Dan, beyond the NATO markings used by the AWACs fleet, I don't believe there are any specific EU markings. Richard Chafer (Gekko) has done EU markings for Rafales in the past I believe in 48th.

Because the member states are exactly that, member STATES, we each have our own markings which are pretty well known. There are no armed forces operated by the EU itself, any military actions deemed to be needed are provided by the member states who agree to supply the forces, and by those who have some surplus capacity.

This counts out the UK for the forseeable future of course........ $:-\$

Thanks for Responding Guys. part of the reason i asked was that i had seen some UN Helos that Said 'European Union' with the EU Flag on them once. that was partly the Reason i asked about EU Roundels. Dan

Dan, I'm assuming the helos were recent? Perhaps it's beginning to infiltrate the UN schemes as a way of identifying the basic origin of the operator?
(eg EU, CIS, US, etc)

Mav, the pic was one i saw in a News Article online last year,also when i saw some News Broadcasts the Choppers Said right on the Side 'European Union' with the Flag next to it and EU painted on the Nose. Dan

No. but i also remember seeing in a Book on Helicopters, one of the Helos looked like a CH-47 in White with European Union painted on the Side with the EU flag either next to it or on the Rotor Housing. does that Help? Dan
