I know it says, "Limited Edition" but they have to be kidding themselves.  A copy of the Blu-Ray edition of The Sky Crawlers:

^ Going by the eBay ad, it was touched by the man himself!   That might warrant the price to some.
Also, cool whiffery content.   The Sanka with a Bk 3,7cm cannon is wicked.
(even though they stole one of my whif ideas for one of my Sankas! :banghead:)

If I had the money I would buy kits like these, and then build them! Want to take bets on how many collectors keel over clutching their chests?

Going by the title, I thought this thread was about Hasegawa kits.

Oh, I assumed that for the £120.00 shipping charge, the seller would appear at my door with the kit in hand.

Yeah.....with a blonde with no morals with a spare hour and a case of ale....!!!!  ;)

;D Reckon I'd rather pay £120 for an hour with a blonde than pay that for postage on a kit!! Unwrapping would be a LOT more fun as well!!

Seriously though, £500 ????????? On a similar note, I've noticed several old Revell missile kits on evilbay . They've been there for ages!! Which I guess is not surprising when you look at the prices!! :o

What's even funnier is that I got the Chrysler Redstone for £14.99 from another ebay seller!!

The VEB Plasticart stuff seems to go for a lot of money these days.  :o

A good friend of mine lived close to the inner German border. When the Wall came down, lots of these kits appeared on flea markets for pennies apiece. He snagged them up by the dozen - and built them!  I don't have the heart to tell him he could have been a well-off man had he chosen to keep them and sell them to collectors.

Plasticart seems to go for pennier OR megabucks; nothing in between. I've picked up a few for next to nothing...
