Almost £100 for an old Airfix Standard VC10?  :o

They've got to be pulling our legs, OK, it's ancient, well OOP and can't ever be returned to production as Airfix modified the moulds to make the tanker, but that's a collectors market price. Even so the box iS knackered.

As for the Roden Super VC10s, they've always seemed to be overpriced to me, considering how small it is in the overall 1/144 airliner market. Those Polish sourced ones look much more reasonable, but the postage is a tad heavy.

Makes me want to drag out my FROG Super VC10 with lights, on that basis it must be worth £200!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I don't know if you'll reach 200 quids or not, but it's an HEAVILY collectable item.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

We can't buy it anyway, the recommended age range is 8-12............

You think that's bad, mate? Did you notice this? :o

I'll bet software is placing those prices. It happens a lot with secondhand books when the seller computerises their business. The starting price is set ridiculously high and the software slowly reduces it over time until someone bites, a bit like a Dutch auction in slo-mo. Fine if you have a huge warehouse and are in no hurry, not so practicable for your average hobby seller.
Cheers.

So the computers want to squeeze the humans out of the hobby and keep all the kits for themselves?  ;D :o

Either that or there's something fishy going on  ;)

The new, improved E-Bay does a similar thing in so far as reducing your price incrementally if you don't sell, providing you aren't watching it like a hawk. I really don't like the changes they have made to the selling side of E-Bay. Just glad I've not got much more to go on, and that won't be for a while.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yikes!  I think they have a hide calling themselves "simply the best price".  They're a mob of rip off merchants.  :banghead:
