Another ridiculous priced kit

Regards,

Greg

In all fairness the Tanmen kit is the ne-plus-ultra of VF-1 kits, and it is a resin kit. Garage kits (or resin kits for that matter) shouldn't be put in teh same category as plastic kits as far as cost. At Wonderfest I have seen resin kits go for that much retail.

True I suppose - still a lot of money for a kit.

They want 550 Pounds?   OK, admittedly its Frog and its 1/24 scale but 550 Pounds?

I wasn't aware BTW that this kit even existed.  Was anybody else here?

Ah yes, the Frog Bloodhound is almost legendary. They were darned expensive even when they were available, well out of 'Schoolboy Pocket Money' range, but many model shops had a built one standing on top of the large box in their windows, presumably as a sales aid.

But £550 for one that's already built? He'll be lucky!

I'm aware that there as a 1/72 one by Frog and of course you have the venerable one by Airfix as well.  I was just rather surprised by a 1/24 one as well!

FIVE HUNDRED pounds for an Aeroclub Vulcan?  :banghead:

He's got to be crazy, as well as uber-greedy! No wonder there were no bids.....

How about this? Didn't sell but ....

Got shelf space?

It's been re-listed £499.00   http://cgi.ebay.com/1-48-Aero-Club-AVRO-VULCAN-B2-Multi-Media-Kit-RARE-OOP-/390324392269?_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D390320146243%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D788171701346086566 and if that is not bad enough he wants £120.00 Parcelforce delivery. Maximum weight for Royal Mail is 20Kg and the maximum price for priority international deliver for a 20Kg package is a fraction under £56. That's a lot of (expensive) packing.

Oh, I assumed that for the £120.00 shipping charge, the seller would appear at my door with the kit in hand.

Bit of a tangent here, but they are the sort of thing you can use as modelling tools....

Have a look at these dental pick sets on Amazon:

Pretty cheap huh? 15p......

Now have a look at the price the trader at the bottom of the list is asking for the same thing.......

Wonder if he's sold many.... ;D
