I wonder if it comes with the giant standing by the ramp?  He must be about 8 feet high!

I don't know if you guys follow some other items on ebay, but in the last time I started asking myself is it all for real.
Yesterday I placed a bid for a cheapo-chino product - these magnifiers. The starting bid was 0.01$ and my bid was 2.50 with the idea to go up to 3.50 or so. The last bid I've seen today was 15.01$. In the same time you can "buy now" the same product for less than 5.00$ from a different seller. What's the point of overbidding? I just don't get it...

I know what you mean as I've seen similar. I'm sure some people get into an almost personal battle against another bidder in the auction and won't be beaten

Had it happen with a kit I was selling. 2 bidders pushed it up to above the going rate in shops and they still had to add postage. It wasn't a case of no nearby model shops either (a problem I understand) as the eventual winner was in a large city with a couple of model shops and the kit was still easily available ???

I think eBay just makes people lazy, they don't need to leave the house to do anything these days.  I make a point of calling the LMS's around and about to see if they have a particular model in stock, if not I then go onto a favorite webstore and eBay is the very, very last resort and only if the kit is unobtainium status ---

I'm sure some people don't even know they can buy the same items in a real store. But even lazy and just sitting in front of the screen one can check for better deals, can't he? The item I mentioned above was sold for 18.50$.  :o I gave up bidding and simply bought the same thing for 4.62$ from a different seller with a "buy it now" option.

The same thing happens at real auctions. People get caught up in it and it can be a battle of wills until the price goes out of sight. Seller makes out well at least.

Must admit I did that myself many years ago. Didn't get silly but went far higher then I'd initially wanted to  :banghead: Learnt my lesson there and then

And to return to the original idea of this thread, here is something very interesting I found , searching through the ebay:
Check this: Airbrush BD-134 - it's probably made of gold! :o
I asked the seller what is the brand of the airbrush and received the answer: "It's unbranded and made by seller's specifications!"
In the meantime there is this airbrush, called Veda WD-134.
And finally there is the same Veda WD-134 , but with less nozzles and straight from it's country of origin.
Compare the prices and have fun! ;D

At that price? NO WAY!

I'd love to meet the 358 people who bought one!
They could keep me in a lifestyle i could become accustomed to!!! :drink:

Click on the '358 sold', you'll see the most recent went for £39.50.  Take, the 9 off, you get £39.50.  Just looks like a case of fingers getting a bit fast and not checking before you click!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
