Free postage though!

Yeah, £55 is on the pricey side for an 'Outlaw', but a) it's a great kit and b) I haven't seen one for well over 10 yrs. But then he's in Oz and I'm 12000 miles away!

I once had the distinct honour of being a judge at a model car contest in Minneapolis, and my co-judge was Ed Roth himself. And it's true, the guy is SERIOUSLY deranged, but great fun to be with.  ;D

at the opposite end of these scales is.....

the coventry city centre branch of the works [they are a chain of bargain price booksellers in the UK] has at
least four [and possibly more] of the recent-ish revell 1/48 kit of the Fw190 and Fw154 mistel combo for just £19.99 [down from £49.99] in stock at the time of posting this report.

i'm glad that luftwaffe 1/48 is not my scale or i'd snap the lot up.

the works does have a website www.TheWorks.co.uk and if this kit is your thing maybe you can snap
this bargain from them on line perhaps. i've no idea if you can and don't have the time immediately to investigate
further.

Was.  He died in 2001.
I prefer to think of it as living in a different reality.
Some of his stuff was awesome.  Some was odd.  And then there was the Druid Princess...
My favourite is probably the Rotar.  It shows eternal optimism thinking you could power a flying car with Triumph motorcycle engines.

Well yes, I knew that but he surely WAS alive when I was a co-judge with him. He turned up at the Show in a MEGA-lowered Caddy of some sort, but the side windows were maybe 4" high! Quite how he got into it I have no idea, but it looked really impressive.

Just did a search on the Rotar, and it seems that there is, or was, a resin kit of it: http://www.rocketfin.com/resin_product.cfm?id=4026

Thanks Weaver.  I am deliberately not looking at resin Roth kits (there's also a Wishbone and at leas one of his Trikes in resin) as having collected all the Revell kits (bar the Surfite) I have yet to build any of them and so don't want collect resin kits as well.
