That's a joke, right ?

Yes and no.  Apparently some/several wag(s) *did* post a bag of air on fleece-Bay as a joke, and the Kanye West "fans" went *did* go nuts over it.

Missed, again.  Why does this kit of the 1/72 Bandai YS-11 go for so much on EvilBay?  This about the fifth I've bid on in the last 5 years and I've missed every one.   This was the first I've seen in Australia, as well!   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

AFAIK they didn't make so many of them and it's the only kit of the YS-11 in 1/72 that's EVER been made. Classic conditions for silly auction prices.

I was watching that.  I might have gone as high as $20 :o but in the end I didn't bid as all I wanted was the engines.

Ok so they only want £2 for it and just 65p for the postage....

but it's just a single sheet decal from the Matchbox kit.

Is it that rare ? Am I missing something ?  :banghead:

There's some guy on ebay selling just the BOX for a Star Wars C3PO kit for £20, no kit parts included at all............  :banghead:

I'm selling another bunch of my stuff on ebay right now, amongst which is a Denys Fisher issue X-Wing and a C3PO, like the one I mentioned above, except mine has the plastic bits in the box.

I noted on the description for the X-Wing that I'd exhaustively checked every part against the instructions as many of them had become detached from the sprues and that I'd re-stapled the plastic bag afterward. Some prospective 'buyer' wanted to know if they were '....the original brass staples....'!  :o

I replied that they certainly weren't as I'd bought it in 1980 and I didn't have any brass ones anyway. He replied that the 'provenance' was important and that steel staples were 'wrong'.

WHAT? I suggested that he's living in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks the manufactures ALWAYS used the same type of staples, and my C3PO has steel ones.

Some people. <sigh>  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?
