They want what for it?

The Wooksta!

Okay, it's not kits, but books and I know that for certain subjects, they can go for ridiculous sums.

I'm currently reading up a fair bit on the Third Reich.  One guy I'm interested in is the head of the foreign intelligence section of the SD, Walter Schellenberg.  One book on him - and I can only find the one copy on Amazon, Abe Books or Ebay - is £899.

And no, I do not want a kindle version.  That way is one of the tiptoes towards tyranny.

Have you tried with bookfinder?

Lots of "normal" priced ones.

BTW, have you read his autobiography?
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

The Wooksta!

I've got it, but haven't read it yet.  However, by all accounts, it was well and truly sanitised.

The link is for another book on Schellenberg by the same author and I can get that for little more than 30 notes post free.  The one I want, the one in the Amazon link, is 300 notes on bookfinder.  Bit better than £900, but still, a shade too rich.

I've noticed that the price of 1/72 Catalina keeps climbing. You used to be able to pick one up for £10-15 secondhand, but now it's more like £20-25.

How about THIS ONE.
It's not a mistake.  It's greed.  This kit vanished from the market when the moulds were damaged in China.  It's a nice kit but not that nice.
Unfortunately for sharks like this they have repaired the moulds and the kits will be back later this year.

I notice it says:
"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing"

Maybe the 'error' was his in thinking people would pay that sort of amount?

zenrat

His error was leaving it too late.  They are back being listed on Model Roundup at $US 39:90.

Me too.  I'm going to start listing schadenfreude as one of my hobbies on my resume.
