Hasegawa again.

A double boxing of the Me 262 V.056 and B-1a/U1. In 1/72 and all yours for £52.99 ???! Meanwhile the Airfix new tool, a splendid kit, is £12.99.

Ridiculous. Maybe we should picket their importers stand at Telford?

I found this today,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401491458750?ul_noapp=true

I paid a lot less for mine, just under £20 for the model in fact.

Saw quite a few postings by that seller and one other earlier today , all ridiculous mark up of prices , but with a pay-monthly option. He has a 1/35 White truck that's normally about the £40 mark for £135 and many other similar offers. Don't know if he really hopes to sell anything at those prices ?

And it's only a 1/144 scale kit ---  :o
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

McColm

You can buy the 1/72 scale for £,30.

Aussie E-Bay prices for brand new 1/25 AMT car kits have gone ridiculous lately.
$60 or $70 each.  Used to be you had to pay that for Japanese kits but the prices seem to have switched over.
I rarely even look at them anymore.  I've got a massive car stash so there's nothing I really need (although they do keep repopping stuff that would be nice to have).

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

:o I've never seen that in the modelling world before  :banghead:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

An ebay find. Nice diorama, but I am not certain if anybody is willing to pay this for the thing?

It's yours for US $8.000,00 only, and I wonder in which shape it would arrive after being sent for free. Or does the price primarily cover logistics...?  ;)

Usually on the bay of evil, "PR0 P41N73D L@@K" means that it looks like it was made by a colourblind orangutang (except that would be an insult to the ape), but for once, a model with this tag actually looks the part.

Still, no sane person is going to pay that kind of money.

There is a reason why professional modelmakers are few and far between and why it's foremost a hobby: modelling is so time-consuming that if you tried to charge the fair value of the working hours, you would end up with a price tag like above, seriously limiting the market.

zenrat

He's probably been told "where are are you going to put that? We've got no room.  From now on you have to sell them when you finish them".

This way he can claim he tried but no-one wanted it.
