Nice!

Can you get a side view of the Wallonian Rafale, showing its stance with the shorter nose gear?

It works! Now it just doesn't have the typical nose high attitude of ordinary Rafales.

BUMP.

ive started cleaning up the stash, begiining with the 1/144's again.
everytime 1 model leaves the table, the next in line enters, in 1/144 i can easely tackle 2 or 3 of the same type at once (1/144 is easy to assembly line.)

EF2000+ Typhoon, New Flanders Air Force.
18 squadron "Tigers", Louiseveld, Tigermeet 2012 livery.

in January, the New Flanders Air Force announced that it would send 4 of its EF2000+ Fighters to the 2012 NATO Tigermeet in Ørland, Norway.
its the first time since 2008 that the NFAF has participated, following restructuring and operational issues that lead to the 3 year absence.
at first it looked as it would once again be postponed, as 18 squadron did not recieve any of its upgraded typhoons yet, but on the 9th of May, the first 4 EF2000+'s for 18 squadron finnally arrived at Louiseveld AFB.

while in the paintshop at the NFAI (New Flanders Aerospace Industries) factory in Tafelgem, a team of painters from the NFAF painted the first completed aircraft with this attractive tailart, for the Tigermeet in Norway.
the aircraft is expected to participate in the independance day flypast tommorow and will also be present on 2 airshows (1 in New Zeeland and 1 in Tazmania) before heading to Europe with 3 other Typhoons on the 25th of May.

Eurofighter Typhoon, Belgian Air Force.
10de Wing, 349 smaldeel, Kleine Brogel 2025.

(model #3 in my Belgian AF 2025 build theme)

(if) Belgium selected the Eurofighter as its next fighter aircraft in 2020 to replace the F-16A/B MLU.
the order that was placed consisted of 48 aircraft (including 8 2-seaters) with deliveries beginning in 2024.
all aircraft are being manufactured in Manching, Germany by EADS Cassidian. the first Belgian Typhoon (2-seater, production number BT001, BAF serial ET-01) first flew on the 16th of July 2023, with the first single seater (Prodution number BL001, BAF serail EF-01) flying 3 months later.
in august 2024, the first 4 Typhoons (1 2-seater and 3 single seaters) were delivered to 349 squadron in Kleine Brogel, replacing the F-16's.
as of April 2025, the typhoons took over the F-16's QRA duties. deliveries were completed by 2027, eventually equiping 1, 31, 349 and 350 smaldeel.

just finished these 2, they didnt turn out the way i wanted, but none the less.
BTW: the Revell 1/144 F-19 is horrible  :-\

F-19C Spectre, US. Air Force
8th Fighter wing, 80th Fighter Squadron.
Kunsan AFB, South Korea, 2020.

the USAF aquired 428 F-19C's in 2016 to supplement the F-35's and F-22's in service. the aircraft was basicly designed as a low-cost stealth fighter similar to the retired F-117A. the F-19, compared to the F-35 had an incredible speed and acceleration, with speeds up to mach 2.8, it is the fastest manned aircraft in the US Inventory. the F-19 was noted to be perfect for high altitude interceptions and fast low levell strikes.

the Air Force placed 40 F-19C's at Kunsan AFB in South Korea, as a defensive interceptor against North Korean Long range missiles.
the aircraft did not have a worthy dogfighting abbility, but it proved to be a stable weapons platform for the AIM-54G Phoenix II missile, of witch the F-19 could carry one in its small weaponsbay.

Model: Revell 1/144 F-19
Decals: Academy 1/144 F-16A

---------------------------

Spectre GR.1, Royal Air Force
11 (Bomber) squadron, RAF Coningsby, 2021

following delays in the BAe Taranis deliveries and to bridge the gap between the Tornado GR4 and Lightning FGR.1, the Royal Air Force leased 32 F-19A's from USAF stocks, these were designated Spectre GR.1.
the first unit to recieve the Spectre was 11 (F) squadron, who then converted from the Typhoon FGR.4 fighter to its new role as a strike bomber squadron in 2018.

the RAF was plaesed with the performance of the aircraft and as of 2026, the Spectre GR.1s were converted into unmanned Spectre GR.2 UCAVs

model: Revell 1/144 F-19

Yes it is. One big thing is how small it is, scarcely larger than a thumbprint. At least a Me 163 or such in that scale has a wing to grab onto! I like your idea of them being made into UCAV's as they hardly look like something a pilot would sit in, size wise - and given a high speed central post braced canopy no less! Something that flat could have had a prone pilot.

You've done well with those Nils. I'd struggle with good 1/144th scale kits let alone bad ones

#101
ok, its been a while, but im stil building, just had building some RW stuff.
anyway, thought i'd give you a glimps of what im working on and got planned.

first off, the EF2000 Typhoon-NG, converted out of the old revell EFA90 eurofighter kit, i have been secretly working on this one a year ago, but its been gathering dust lately, still need to think of a good paintjob  :-\

the aircraft will be fitted with a COFFIN style cockpit

info: http://acecombat.wikia.com/wiki/Connection_for_Flight_Interface

and here's a glimps a later side project, to come after the 1/144 Carrier HMS Courageous and the refit of the BNS Dendermonde, this one will  be a WW2 escort carrier, equiped with the expected revell 1/144 warbirds. although i have no idea what type of aircraft to pace on them, im thinking a German carrier equiped with Bf109T (or FW190T) and Ju-87T Stuka's  ;D
the hull is from a 1/400 Heller Foch (recently scrapped 1/144 VSTOL carrier conversion)

REAL WORLD ALERT

just finished this one, a Belgian Air Force F-16A in Tigermeet livery from 1991.
model is a Dragon/DML F-16A, build straight OOB.

Spey_Phantom

there is a new project on the buildline, the F-15SJ, a modified version of the F-15SE for the JASDF.
it is a crossbreed between the F-15S/MTD Active and the F-15SE.

modifications for the JASDF include canard foreplanes, 2D thrust vectoring nozzles coupled with the F119-100 engine (as in the F-22) and the  internal weaponsbays and canted tails of the F-15SE.

this version was named the F-15SJ Samurai Eagle, or Super Eagle by the USAF, and is the ultimate alternative for the export restricted F-22A Raptor.

model is a Dragon/DML F-15E, canards from a revell F/A-18D, scratchbuild TVC nozzles and decals will be from a revell F-4E/J Phantom.
this will most likely be my first model to recieve the final developed, home made, Have Glass coating.
