At Telford last year I bought the RS Ju-86R direct from their stand at a CONSIDERABLE discount from Hannant's price only a few yards away. Nicely moulded and a LOT of plastic for the money too, and of course it even comes with long wings!  ;)

That was quite amusing as well. By the Sunday the RS stand had virtually sold out and even with the language barrier you could see dad with head in hands and No 1 son saying "I told you we could have charged more"  ;D

I still remember the guys face when I visited his stand at E-Day and literally just scooped a load of kits up

There was a one-off "Viceroy" built for racing with long-chord cowlings and extra fuel that ended up in Republican hands:

One might therefore imagine a subtle whiff where better-organised Republicans start to produce a light bomber version with long-chord cowlings, a small bomb bay and a manual "greenhouse" turret nicked (for modelling purposes) from the Airfix Anson. Start with the RS kit in the middle and you'd even have the right markings with it!

Love it!

The XP-79 is a 'Whiff-in-a-box' with the RAF decal scheme included.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

Good news: RS Models launched a He 280 kit in service markings - with JuMo engines and something what looks like a butterfly tail (beyond an alternative prototype with Heinkel engines), and there seems to come (at last!) a P-51H, in two versions. All 1:72.

Melikes both!

Oh I like the look of those.

Last couple of RS kits I've built have been very good

A DECENT P-51H at last!  :drink:

The sprue shot and the built one look magnificent.

I have a High Planes and a Beechnut kit of the P-51H, both are really nice once they're built up

The P51H and 280's are available at the Big H now. Ordered 1 of each this am

Good spot Geoff

I've always liked the Hs 132. Built the Huma one which is a nice kit but it will be nice to have a new tool "readily" available.

The Soviet markings on the A are interesting as it is said that they flew the captured example. As for Japanese, all I can say is Kamikaze

The Wooksta!

Until I see the sprue shots I won't know for sure but I'm guessing that the fuselage cross section will be wrong - both the Airmodel and Huma kits are wrong in having it circular whereas it should be more like the squared off triangle of the Hs 129.

The Soviets captured the first prototype but it was unfinished - the photo that purports to be the V-1 is a fake.
