Hey Tom, it's What-If curious, but as Retro's name was too long for that, the software amputated the rest.

I wish I could afford a TSR.2 kit!!

Affording a TSR.2 kit is easy...all's you have to do is swindle some poor bloke for...uh, wait a minute, did I say that out loud ?

Sorry, Geoff !

:P

Seriuosly, tho, I think I'll pay most of his ipms Canada dues for next year, even the score a little !

And wooksta!, I agree with Nev, it's gotta be that RN bird for me !

And Thor...that RAFG one is sweet ! I need your camo patterns, so I can finish mine the same, pls.

And now for some thing compleatly different.............

TSR-2 (batch 1) delivered in secret to the SAAF, late 1982. In thanks for covert South African help in the Falklands punch up. (and you thought all the Black buck raids were out of Acencion.  :P
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

IPMS (UK) What if? SIG Leader.
IPMS (UK) Project Cancelled SIG Member.

Well, I'd like to be considered for SIG membership, as I've got ideas for Phoenixs' in non-commonwealth foregin service - South America; SE Asia/Far East ind of areas. Just keeping my fingers crossed

That SAAF one is a beauty

Y'know what would be great?  There's quite a famous photo of a Bucc screaming over the Veldt at about 3 feet AGL (literally).  If you could photoshop a piccie of that Phoenix to something similar, it would look awesome.

Sound Lee. Let me know how much the subs are and I'll send them on.
On the foregin operators, I was going to do Chile( they gor a couple of sqdns worth as thakd for thier support during the Falklands campaign); Brazil; Thailand and a few others that I am banding around with at the 'mo.

Hi Todd

For the Camo i actually copied the scheme from Wooksta's & Lazlo's photo's on line plus the Chocolate scheme posted on Tsrjoes site. To be honest you could copy the scheme from Grey Green RCAF Starfighters as i expect thats where your markings will be derived from.

So ready to start assembly on it then ? Any questions just ask and one of us should be able to fill in any gaps or pass on advice.

Cheers

(What do you mean bad influence on ships, i only showed you the links, i havn't touched a ship since doing TSR-2 and other British Projects - and now we have a new book to play with !!!!- oh dear)

Hey...I gotta blame somebody !

:P

And speaking of links....could you pass on the ones you showed me of the small scale armour and a/c in white metal ? I keep losing them ! My organizational skills are woefully inadequate !

Cheers !

And of the TSR.2......yep, I've been *fondling* it quite often lately......and the more I see you guys posting photos of it...the more I want to build it !

See how easy it's becoming to blame you ? :dum:

I've been thinking of doing a small diorama, along with an Arrow as a Cold War Tac and Strategic bomber duo, based out of Baden-Baden in the late 60's.

Sweet.......
