ALF

Hi

i've just started last week this model

cheers

dumaniac

I don't have the Hobby boss kit - how is the detail and how does it compare with the Dragon kit?

What colour scheme do you have planned?

Looking forward to seeing this one progress

i don't have the dragon kit, but this kit from Hobby boss is pretty good, well detailed and very easy to built. There is no big fitting problems, and it's  relatively cheap, perfect for a quick built.

I dont have planned the color scheme yet.

I did one, a self-made conversion, in 1/72, a LOOOOOOOng time ago (1982?).

I only did a "Real World" Versuch machine, but I would love to see an "operational" one from you!!

Maybe a "narwal" motif for a squadron badge?
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

GTX

What scheme do you have in mind?

May I make a suggestion:

Me-262E-1 Tank Buster on Eastern Front, 1945.

or if you are feeling a bit more adventurous:

Me-262G-2 Tank Buster on North Africa Front, 1946.

Both from my A Simple Issue of Metals story.

Greg
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Sequ - love your camo scheme - I goota do me one of those

GTX - love the turbo prop tank buster in Africa colours with the desert camo.  I did the turbo prop with standard configuration and Russia colurs a couple of years ago in 48 scale but I will put the tank buster on the "to-do" list - thanks for the inspiration

next step : assembling and painting all the parts of the interior

Very nice work so far!

After looking at your in-progress pics I decided to go ahead and get one of these kits, the interior parts look very nice and have good detail and should make for a nice model.

Looking good, ALF! I've been pretty impressed with those HobbyBoss kits. While some are on the simple side, you'd have a hard time beating the price and many (such as your 262) come with nice details.

One thing I found is a simple paint scheme is best on a tight deadline. Maybe one of those pre-war one or two color test schemes? I'm thinking dark green over gray with that red swastika banner would be pretty eye-catching.

You have the perfect paint scheme for a *JAPANESE* Ki.201 Karyu if you want to "K.I.S.S." it and finish quickly!

Slap some Hinomarus on it, some nice tail decoration and....!?

What happened to the long 5cm gun? Broke off?
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

ALF

i suppose it's to late for a japanes paint scheme  ;D

ALF

I think i'm gonna miss the deadline sorry
